Keeping with the classic design of the original Cub, the Cub V has selectable EF86 or 12AX7 preamp channels that allow for you to choose whether you want that smooth clean and glassy tone or harmonic and rich breakup from the EF86. Where this specific amp breaks from the tradition of the Original Cub lies within its output section. This beast is now a whopping 40 watts and powered by a pair of EL34 power tubes which allows for immensely deep cleans tones and a wide array of gain options.
